A Split Timber Monolith
The form is simple: one vertical block of wood with a dramatic opening down the middle. Light from the embedded LED spills along the carved inner walls, showing off depth and grain that a flat surface would hide. Switched off, it still stands as a bold wooden sculpture.
Craft and Material
Each lamp is shaped from solid hardwood, then sanded and finished by hand while the outer live edges are left intact. No veneers or synthetic laminates are used. Natural wood varies in grain, color and texture, so every lamp has its own outline and markings.
Placement
Use it beside lounge seating, in a bedroom corner or flanking a wide entry, where its height and shape can be seen from across the room. Because the glow is soft and indirect, pair it with a reading lamp if you need focused task light.

It is designed for warm ambient and accent lighting rather than bright task lighting, so it works best alongside other light sources.

Six heights from 42 to 60 inches are offered, and a custom size can be requested.
How long does delivery take?
Each piece is made to order. Cutting and carving take 7-10 days, you approve photos of your piece, finishing takes about 7 more days, and delivery adds 3-7 business days, so most orders arrive in about 3-4 weeks.
Will every piece look exactly like the photos?
The shape, size and finish match your selection, but solid wood has natural variations in grain, knots and tone, so no two pieces are identical. You see photos of your own piece before it is finished.

Free on U.S. orders of $60 or more; $5.95 flat under. We ship within the United States only.
Orders leave in 1–2 business days. Delivery normally takes another 3–7 business days, with a tracking link emailed to you. Full details in our Shipping Policy.
You have 30 days from delivery to return any unworn, unwashed item with tags attached. Change-of-mind returns are at your postage; damaged, wrong or lost orders are replaced or refunded in full and we cover the postage. No restocking fees.

Hang suits and sport coats on a wide wooden hanger and let them rest a day between wears. Brush, don't wash; dry clean only when actually dirty — two or three times a year is plenty. Steam out creases. Hems, sleeves and waists are done in our shop at 6 N Centre St; add your inseam in the order notes and we'll hem trousers before they ship. Hemmed trousers are altered to your order, so they can't be returned for change of mind or wrong size.
