Bohorad's is the men's clothing shop on Centre Street in downtown Pottsville — suits hemmed, uniforms taken in, tuxedos fitted the week of the wedding. This site is the shop itself: the suit racks from slim to portly, the sport coats, the dress pants that hold a crease, the shirts sized by neck and sleeve — and the tailor at the back who makes them fit.
A Pottsville fixture
Ask around Schuylkill County and someone's father, uncle or best man was dressed at Bohorad's. The shop has stood at 6 North Centre Street for generations, through the department stores that came and went on the same block, doing the unglamorous work of making a suit fit the man wearing it. Alterations are still done in store, by hand, usually with a quicker turnaround than the mall.
What changed is that customers who moved away kept calling: could we mail the same suit they were fitted for at their brother's wedding? So we put the racks online. Everything on this site is what we'd sell across the counter — wool, linen and cotton that take a press, honest sizing from 34S to 60L, and a person who knows the difference answering the email.

Tailoring is about things made to fit and made to last. Our wood collection follows the same idea for the house: solid wood TV consoles, live-edge coffee tables, floating shelves, benches and carved wall art, each piece handcrafted to order by partner artisan workshops.
