Which suit fit is right for my build?
- Slim fit: higher armhole, narrower lapel and tapered leg, for lean builds. 29 suits here are slim fit.
- Classic fit: fuller chest and straight leg. This is our largest group, with 65 suits.
- Modern fit: 15 suits, mostly in wool.

What color suit should I buy first?
Solid navy and charcoal gray cover interviews, church, funerals and most office days, and both are stocked in wool. Pinstripes, chalkstripes and windowpanes read more business, while plaids and checks, such as the brown windowpane check, suit daytime and fall events. For summer heat there is an azure blue cotton seersucker suit, and for weddings see our wedding suits and 3-piece suits.
How does suit sizing work?
A 40R is a 40-inch chest in Regular length. Short is for men under 5'8", Regular for 5'8" to 6', and Long for over 6'; some suits also come in Extra Long. Chest sizes in this collection run from 34 to 68.
Suit trousers have a 6-inch drop, so a 42 jacket comes with a 36-inch waist, unless the size lists its own waist, such as 44R/38W. The hem is left unfinished: add your inseam, or your height and shoe size, to the order notes and we hem the trousers free before shipping. Hemmed trousers cannot be returned for a wrong size or change of mind.
