Raw Edge, Refined Surface
The front edge follows the outline of the original tree, so the mantel has an irregular, river-worn rhythm that a milled board cannot match. The top and faces are sanded smooth, giving a clean place to set objects.
Craftsmanship
Artisans hand-sand each slab, oil it to deepen the grain and finish with a matte protective coat. Natural wood varies in grain and tone, and every knot and curve is part of that particular slab.
Placement and Care
Center it over a fireplace, or hang it alone as a floating ledge in a lodge-style living room. Keep a sensible gap from open flame and dust with a dry cloth.

Yes. The mounting hardware can be customized for either stone or drywall installation.
How do I choose the length?
Most people pick a mantel a little wider than the firebox opening. If none of the six lengths fits, a custom size can be ordered.
How long does delivery take?
Each piece is made to order. Cutting and carving take 7-10 days, you approve photos of your piece, finishing takes about 7 more days, and delivery adds 3-7 business days, so most orders arrive in about 3-4 weeks.
Will every piece look exactly like the photos?
The shape, size and finish match your selection, but solid wood has natural variations in grain, knots and tone, so no two pieces are identical. You see photos of your own piece before it is finished.

You have 30 days from delivery to return any unworn, unwashed item with tags attached. Change-of-mind returns are at your postage; damaged, wrong or lost orders are replaced or refunded in full and we cover the postage. No restocking fees.

Hang suits and sport coats on a wide wooden hanger and let them rest a day between wears. Brush, don't wash; dry clean only when actually dirty — two or three times a year is plenty. Steam out creases. Hems, sleeves and waists are done in our shop at 6 N Centre St; add your inseam in the order notes and we'll hem trousers before they ship. Hemmed trousers are altered to your order, so they can't be returned for change of mind or wrong size.
